The Common University Entrance Test for Post Graduation (CUET PG) is a national level entrance exam conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA). The exam is conducted once a year for admission to various postgraduate courses offered by participating central universities across India.

CUET PG scores are accepted by various participating central universities, including the Central University of Rajasthan, Delhi University, Banaras Hindu University, Central University of Haryana, Central University of Jammu, and others. Delhi University law faculty conducted its separate exam by the name of DUET till 2022 however 2023 onwards, it has come under CUET and if one wishes to study law from Delhi University law faculty then they must give CUET PG exam for the same.

2. National Law School of India University, Bangalore ( NLSAT)

NLSAT 2025 - Pattern and Syllabus

NLSUI Bangalore announced a 3year law degree program for all law aspirants across the country and it’s the first National Law School in India to start a 3year law course for students. Due to scarcity of seats NLSAT ( National Law School Admission Test ) already has become a highly competitive exam and students need to work hard along with right guidance to see their names in the final list.

Examination Date - In the month of April every year
Let us now understand the pattern of the exam-
The exam is will be conducted in two stages
Part - A ( 75 Marks )
Type - 75 Objective Multiple Choice Questions
For Every correct answer - 1 mark is rewarded
For every wrong answer - .25 is deducted
For every unattempted answer - .25 is deduced

Please Note - Since there is negative marking for even attempted questions, you must attempt the entire paper. Syllabus - There will be 8-10 passage based questions to check your General Knowledge, English Comprehension, Legal and Logical Reasoning. To score well in this part, you must read a newspaper everyday along with sincere subject wise preparation. Solving at least 10mock test based on NLSAT pattern is a must.

Part - B (75 marks)

Type - Subjective Type paper
Pattern - 10 problem based questions/ short notes
1 essay ( 3 options will be provided )

Syllabus - For short notes, problem based questions and essay prior preparation is a must. These will be designed to check your General awareness, legal concepts, English comprehension and reasoning abilities. You must write about 20 short notes on trending topics and about 5-10 essays on General topics.

P.S. You are required to appear for both Part A and B on the same day however your Part B will be checked only if you qualify in part A.

3. Punjab University -

The PU LLB syllabus comprises of 4 sections -

Maharashtra Common Entrance Test for Law or MH CET Law is a state-level law entrance exam in Maharashtra. State CET Cell, Maharashtra conducts MH CET law for admission to 3-year LLB programmes offered by the law colleges in the state of Maharashtra. A total of 147 law colleges accept MH CET law scores. These colleges offer around16,240 seats in 3-year LLB
