CLAT Coaching Tips

At Maansarovar Law Centre, our CLAT coaching has empowered over 10,000 students to chase their dreams of joining top law colleges. We use a simple, practical approach to make you a top ranker in the CLAT exam. The CLAT exam tests five key sections: Legal Reasoning, General Awareness, English Comprehension, Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Aptitude. Below, we share 10 essential tips to excel in CLAT, ensuring you’re ready to top the exam with the help of the best possible CLAT coaching!

1. CLAT Paper Analysis - Before a student begins their journey of securing a Top rank in the CLAT exam, it is vital that they thoroughly analyse the past year papers.

Maansarovar’s CLAT Coaching Approach - We at Maansarovar have deeply analysed the past few CLAT papers. We have observed that the majority of the questions of General Knowledge are being asked from certain topics only. For example -

a) Recently passed Bills/Acts - In the past few CLAT examinations, questions have consistently been framed from a new act/bill which was recently enacted like the Data Protection Act and the Public Examinations Act. Thus, for CLAT 2026, the aspirants should be well versed with Uttarakhand's Uniform Civil Code, the clauses of the Immigration and Foreigners Bill, 2025.

b) International affairs - In the past CLAT exams, there have been a fairly large number of questions from the topic of International affairs like G-20 and BRICS Summit. For the upcoming 2026 exam, while staying familiar with these areas, you must focus on Operation Sindoor, US crackdown on illegal immigration, Paris AI Summit, etc

c) Sporting events - In the past few exams, questions have been asked from Fifa World Cup, Olympics, etc. For the upcoming 2026 exam, topics such as Fifa Club World Cup 2025 and Women’s Cricket World Cup are of great importance.

2. Read the Newspaper Daily -

Newspapers are super important for the CLAT exams. Four of the sections, i.e., Legal Reasoning, General Awareness, English Comprehension, and Logical Reasoning are directly asked from the newspapers. Start your day with a newspaper!

Maansarovar’s CLAT Coaching Approach - At Maansarovar the teachers of our CLAT coaching, have divided the current affairs into 3 categories - General, Political, and Legal Affairs, each taught by a specialised faculty. While our CLAT Coaching provides comprehensive materials, we emphasize daily newspaper reading. It is the first task in our CLAT coaching schedule, ensuring students stay accountable and informed.

3. Solve at least 25 Mock Tests -

Mock tests are important for CLAT exam success. They show your strengths, weaknesses and help with time management. Each mock test prepares you better for the CLAT exam.

Maansarovar’s CLAT Coaching Approach - Our CLAT coaching requires one mock test weekly, increasing to two per week 2 months before the CLAT exams. Video analysis clears doubts, and retaking mocks helps the student score 100%, building

confidence. In 2024, 85% of our students raised mock scores by 15 marks after a detailed analysis.

4. Do Post Mock Test Analysis - Taking mock tests is important, but analyzing them is essential. Reviewing errors helps you in improving your score significantly.

Maansarovar’s CLAT Coaching Approach - Our CLAT coaching provides video-based mock test analysis and motivates students to work on mistakes and retake the same mock to aim for 100%. This not only boosts scores but also expands our question bank.

5. Attend your CLAT Coaching Regularly -

Regular CLAT coaching classes cover the syllabus systematically, with consistent attendance. Missing classes affects the CLAT exam preparation.

Maansarovar’s CLAT Coaching Approach - Our CLAT coaching offers a Hybrid mode facility. If you miss a session, you may watch the recording on our app. The hybrid mode allows students to attend classes in both offline as well as online modes.

6. Never refer to more than 2-3 sources - Too much motivation can lead to confusion, especially when jumping between unverified sources. It often leads to anxiety and loss of confidence.

Maansarovar’s CLAT Coaching Approach - Our CLAT coaching classes offer reliable study material to students so that they can focus on what truly matters without distractions and without having to look for any resources.

7.Make a Schedule-

If you start studying without a schedule in placem then you keep switching between the subjects and topics, and by the end of the day, little is achieved. A perfectly made plan increases your efficiency.

Maansarovar’s CLAT Coaching Approach - Our CLAT coaching and our mentors help the students individually in creating a schedule customised as per their needs. There should be a journal which the students fill during the beginning of the day and must follow it thoroughly. This leads to accountability and gives a clear plan to work upon.

8. Work on Your Weak and Scoring Subjects - Focusing on weak areas improves your score and makes your preparation much more well-rounded. Scoring subjects like Maths, Reasoning, Legal, and Law yield better results than spending excessive time on General Awareness

Maansarover’s CLAT Coaching Approach - Here at Maansarovar Coaching, we analyze your mock test scores to identify strong and weak areas. Based on this, personalized feedback is shared, and students are guided to focus on improving their weak subjects. We begin classes with high-weightage topics and gradually move to lesser ones.

9. Always aim for Rank 1 - Your goals define your results. If you aim for just selection, that’s what you will get, but aiming for top rank pushes you towards excellence.

Maansarovar CLAT Coaching Approach - We foster a highly motivated environment with consistent inspiration and guidance at our coaching. Teachers share practical tips regularly and encourage students to target a single-digit rank.

10. Maintain Subject-Wise Register for Difficult Questions - Keep a separate register for each subject to record tough questions with their solutions. This becomes an excellent revision tool before exams.

Maansarovar’s CLAT Coaching Approach - We conduct regular doubt sessions and mock reviews. Students are encouraged to maintain these registers, and our in-house teachers are available throughout the day for doubt clearance at the Maansarovar Law Centre.

Conclusion - Scoring high in the CLAT exam is achievable with smart work and guidance. With over a decade of experience in training CLAT aspirants, we at Maansarovar Law Centre know exactly what it takes to clear the exam with flying colours. https://www.maansarovarlawcentre.com/
