DELHI BOMB BLAST

On November 10, 2025 a car bomb exploded near the Red Fort metro station in Delhi. The bomb was made with ammonium nitrate fuel oil and TATP (Triacetone triperoxide), making it highly destructive.

● The blast was identified as a terror incident linked to a “white collar terror module” with connections to Pakistan based terror outfits Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind (AGH).

● The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has confirmed that the explosion was a car borne suicide attack, the first of its kind in the national capital. According to the NIA, the group involved in the Delhi Red Fort blast was trying to modify drone technology to create rocket-like bombs that could cause mass destruction, similar to tactics used by groups like Hamas and ISIS.

● The driver of the car was identified as Dr. Umar Mohammed, a doctor who panicked and triggered the blast after police raids arrested other members of the terror group. The terrorists had been preparing many bombs and planning attacks across Delhi, aiming to hit important places like the Red Fort, India Gate, Constitution Club, Gaurishankar temple, railway stations and malls resembling the 2008 Mumbai attacks (26/11). Authorities seized nearly 3,000 kg of explosives in nearby areas and arrested several suspects.

● The Indian government, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and key security ministers, held high level meetings condemning the attack as a heinous terror incident. Security arrangements have been tightened at airports, roads and public places to prevent further incidents.

Ammonium nitrate (NH₄NO₃) which was used in the bomb is a widely used fertilizer but also a strong oxidiser capable of causing intense high temperature explosions when combined with the right substances.
