The faculty of law at the University of Delhi is known for its Legal Curriculum.

The faculty is known for their 3- Year Law courses, including LLB, LLM and PHD in law. However, students who have not yet obtained a bachelor's degree or equivalent are not eligible to enroll in the three-year program.

As a result, many students who wanted to study law at this prestigious institution had to look for other options, since a bachelor's degree and an LLB separately require six years to complete, but a five-year combined BA.LLB and BBA.LLB course saved students a whole year of study. Because of this, it was challenging to recommend Delhi University to students who intended to study law after graduation.

Nevertheless, the university has made the decision to launch a combined 5-year program for the first time, marking a century since its founding. As part of their curriculum, it will now provide BA.LLB and BBA.LLB courses. Students will be able to save a year of study and gain admission to one of Delhi's top law schools, which is fantastic news.

The course was introduced by the Faculty of Law for students interested in getting their lawyer’s degree from DU at an affordable price. This allowed more candidates to choose DU as an alternative as it is highly regarded.

To be eligible for the 5 Year course, the candidate must have passed class XII or its equivalent from a single recognized board, must have secured at least 45% in aggregate for UR/EWS/OBC-NCL category and 40% or more in aggregate for SC/ST/PWBD category.

In addition, the candidate needs to show up for CLAT-2023. The last rank admitted, exam difficulty, seat availability, and reservation policy all influence the admission cutoff.

Candidates can compete for 60 seats in the BA.LLB (Hons) and BBA.LLB (Hons) programs respectively, as approved by the Bar Council of India.

This opportunity is deemed to be very useful for students getting into the legal profession as they can make a smart decision for a good start towards their career.
