Ever since its birth, Delhi University has been regulating admissions into its courses based on the marks obtained by students in their 12th boards. This practice has been prevalent since 1992.

However, after 10 years since its founding, Delhi University has now decided to permit admissions of students based on the CUET scores they obtain.

The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) was formulated with the intention of providing for a uniform and standardized test series concerning admissions into the central universities.

It was formed by the National Testing Agency (NTA) whilst having the objective of a fair and grounded admission procedure for central universities.

Each course provides for a different syllabus for the exam based on the course the student wants to enroll into. However for the LAW Programme, the CUET LLB syllabus includes the following subjects-

● Language Comprehension
● General Knowledge
● Awareness
● Logical Reasoning
● Verbal Ability
● Computer Basics

Each of these sections contains a specific number of questions that test a candidate's knowledge and abilities. The syllabus aims to evaluate a candidate's overall aptitude for a law program.

The CUET exam does not include legal studies and polity as a part of their syllabus. In retrospect 75% of the syllabus for the DU.LLB Exam prior to the introduction of CUET consisted of legal studies and polity.

This was a first for the University of Delhi as never before had they changed the means of admission into their courses. DU being a very favorable choice for students is a highly competitive university to get into. This makes the CUET exam a fairly competitive one and a tricky exam to crack. Rigorous practice of the question paper is recommended along with proper tuition.
